Tips
No cooler, use a stringer.
While rigging the Joshua's Jigs Fishing Team kayak. The age old
question of where to store the catch was hard to answer. Some type
of cooler or fishbag would be needed. But would that require sharing
the space with cold drinks and/or food. Well the answer is a big NO.
Actually the real answer was a big surprise. I wondered who would
still be using fish stringers these days. Well the stringer is the best
answer as long as you keep an eye on your catch. In Texas Redfish
kayak tournaments, the weigh in is the real action. And the anglers
weigh in their live fish that have been on a stringer for up to 8 hours.
The trick and yes there is a trick, is to put the fish on the stringer
through the upper and lower lips, so do not stick the stringer through
the fish's gill plate.
